Thank you for registering to become an Independent Advisor. Please read the Independent Advisor Program Quick Facts and FAQs and the NCRA Practicum Guide before completing this online registration form. Only students enrolled in the NCRA-AHIMA Cancer Registry Management Certificate Program can request an independent advisor. They are required to complete all course work before submitting an application.
The NCRA Mentoring Committee reviews the Independent Advisor applications and seeks to match based on shared backgrounds, interests, and career goals. After a selection of an advisor is made, the committee will contact the Independent Advisor to share information about the AHIMA student. At that time, the NCRA Independent Advisor is required to contact the student.
